Maury Shenk is also a novelist under the pen name David Zen, aiming to do for novels about international dealmaking what John Grisham has done for novels about the law. His first novel The Deal: 交易 Jiāo Yì is a sexy thriller about China, dealmaking and corruption. His second novel Enlightenment Inc. is about a California start-up with a techno-spiritual twist.
